ChatGPT ignites a new AI craze

The successful launch of chatbot operated by Microsoft-backed OpenAI has sparked a buzz in the field. Bing will now allow users to chat in a way that provides more detailed answers to queries. On Monday, Google announced an AI-powered chatbot technology called Bard that will be available in the next few weeks. Bard will compete directly with ChatGPT.

The company provided no details on what the tool would look like, or whether it would appear as a feature in its popular search engine. Baidu's Hong Kong-listed shares jumped more than 15% following the news.
